SISTERS IN ARMS
SAS-MA featured in
Boston Globe story!

What: “Ladies Instructional Shoot" - Safety instruction and target shooting with rifles, handguns and shotguns.

When: Sunday, September 29th, 2007 - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Where: Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club, 800 Liberty St., Braintree, MA

The Massachusetts Chapter of Second Amendment Sisters is pleased to announce their Sixth Annual Ladies Instructional Shoot.

Never shot before? Curious? Or perhaps your rusty and want to get reacquainted with your firearm again! Or perhaps you're just interested in a review of the safety rules and current regulations.

Whatever your reason, come on down and spend a fun day with other like-minded women at the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club, the newest and largest gun and rifle club in the state. Ladies will learn to handle and fire a wide variety of handguns (revolvers and semi-automatic pistols), rifles, shotguns, hi-power and the old fashioned blackpowder rifle and archery. All instruction will be under the supervison of NRA certified instructors and certified range officers.

The day will begin at 9:00AM with a session on gun safety and safe gun handling practices. We will break into groups and head to the ranges. Part of the day will be spent outdoors, so watch the weather and dress comfortably. Please bring a baseball type cap with you to wear while on the pistol and rifle ranges. We will be providing a modest lunch (sandwiches, salad, chips) or feel free to bring your own if you have dietary concerns.

Lynne Roberts, the Massachusetts State Coordinator for Second Amendment Sisters says: “Second Amendment Sisters offers a women's perspective on gun usage and ownership. This is an opportunity for women of all ages to experience shooting in a safe and comfortable environment. You will learn how they feel, how they work, and how to keep yourself and your family safe around them. For the experienced woman shooter this is a chance to meet others who share your enthusiasm and hopefully make new friends. Most important, you will see how much fun shooting can be!!”

The fee is $20 to help cover costs and Pre-registration is required. To register send a check for $20 to SAS, PO Box 66248, Newton, MA 02466. Please include your name, address, tel number AND an email address as we do 99% of our communication through the internet. Please register by September 17th.
