PHILADELPHIA -- Second Amendment Sisters, Inc. will hold their "Flagship 400,000" Display and their "Bill of Rights Rally" on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30 at the East Terrace of the Liberty Pavilion in Philadelphia, starting at 10AM both days.
Both days will feature the "Flagship 400,000" Display, a representation of the 400,000 American citizens whose lives are saved annually by defensive use of guns. Representatives of Second Amendment Sisters will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
Sunday will also include the “Bill of Rights Rally", which will begin at noon. Carris Kocher, a distant relative of Patrick Henry, will be a guest speaking on the history of the Bill, and will be followed by a ten-person reading of its original ten Amendments. The reading will be followed by well-known speakers addressing Second Amendment issues.
"We want to educate the public about the history and meaning of The Bill of Rights, which most often is sorely lacking in today's educational system," said Maria Heil, Pennsylvania State Coordinator for Second Amendment Sisters. "Most people don't know why the Bill of Rights was even written! We especially want to emphasize the Second Amendment, of course, because we feel that it is the most important of all the Amendments."
Second Amendment Sisters, Inc. is a grass-roots women's organization dedicated to preserving the civil right of self-defense, promoting education and holding violent criminals responsible for the crimes they commit.
