Second Amendment Sister Rodica Bestider to be sworn in as a United States Citizen.

On Wednesday, July 25, 2001, Mrs. Rodica Bestider will be sworn in as a United States Citizen at the INS building at 1600 Callowhill, Philadelphia at 9:00am.

What makes this unique is that Mrs. Bestider is an immigrant from Romania who saw the depravity of a Communist totalitarian regime under the particularly vicious Ceacescu regime. Mrs. Bestider came to this country because of its traditions of freedom enumerated in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and became very active in preserving those rights.

Even though she was not yet a citizen, Mrs. Bestider has been defending the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights for over a year as a member of the Second Amendment Sisters (SAS). Mrs. Bestider has spoken at many SAS events about her concern over the current attack upon the Second Amendment, in spite of the fact that she feared that this would somehow lead to her expulsion back to Romania. Fear was a way of life in Communist Romania.

In SAS' hearts she is a shining example of what an American should be!

Mrs. Bestider's husband, Jim, is a former Navy Seal who served valiantly in Central America and Desert Storm. He has likewise sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

Mrs. Bestider recently spoke as a Second Amendment Sister on July 14th in New York City near the UN Building at a rally to protest the UN Small Arms Treaty, which would effectively overturn the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. Copies of Mrs. Bestider's speech are available upon request.
